The capital bond measure approved by voters in April 2016 will help to relieve overcrowding and enhance learning environments in EPS. Projects include building a new elementary school, modernizing and partially replacing North MS and Woodside ES; system upgrades such as roofing, painting, HVAC, flooring; technology infrastructure, property acquisition, portable classrooms, and other needed upgrades.
A new elementary school will be built to relieve overcrowding and help to address increasing enrollment growth.
A two-story classroom wing and administration building will be
constructed along with modernization of the gymnasium, upgrades
to track and field and perimeter fencing for improved security.
The gymnasium/cafeteria and classroom buildings will be remodeled, the library/administration building will be replaced and additional fencing installed for improved security.
Projects will be completed to improve safety, make critical building repairs, address growth at schools where enrollment exceeds building capacity and improve technology infrastructure to support learning.
